I took The Bug to Orange County last week and we braved Disneyland. I couldn't believe that tickets now cost $70 per person! Has Mickey gone elitist on us? Do families of six have to take out second mortgages on their homes to afford an excursion? Luckily, Auntie Cheri "hooked us up." She has a friend that works there, who got us in free, along with parking and stroller rental. All I can say is "Thank God!" I already had reservations about taking Nicole there. She's always been extremely skittish about rides. It took MANY trips to Happy Hollow to even get her on the Merry-Go-Round. Well, we were able to go on a whoppin' three rides during our day at Disneyland ... the Autopia (she was so scared, she tried to leap off), Roger Rabbit (I'm still hearing how "The Rabbit is scarewy!) and The Monorail (more Nicole's speed). Auntie Cheri, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I would have been majorly peeved if I paid over nearly $200 to go on three rides, two of which my child hated. Now, the food on the other hand, was an entirely different story. Nicole was in Hog Heaven eating cotton candy, ice cream and other sweets that created sugar-induced toddler mania. Fun for all!
Our sister got to go to Disneyland and all we got were these stupid mouse ears.
